Angela K. Lawson, Ph.D. is a leading expert and researcher on debunking the myth about stress as a biologic cause of infertility, trauma-informed healthcare, sexual harassment, and conducting reliable and valid forensic psychology evaluations.

Dr. Lawson received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana. Her post-doctoral training was at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She was a faculty member at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine from 2008-2023 and was promoted to the rank of Full Professor in the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Psychiatry where she worked until leaving to start her private practice.

Dr. Lawson has compiled an impressive list of accomplishments as a researcher, clinician, educator and highly sought-after public speaker. She also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics (JARG), is Chair of ASRM’s Global Health Committee, is the Mental Health Chair for the annual Midwest Reproductive Symposium International (MRSi), is past Chair of ASRM’s LGBTQ Special Interest Group, and is past Chair of the Mental Health Professional Group Executive Committee.

She provides training and education to REI clinics, psychology graduate students, and forensic psychiatry trainees. She also presents lectures, keynote presentations, and conducts workshops throughout the US and internationally. Dr. Lawson can give keynote presentations, half day or full day trainings, and lectures and can also tailor events for your needs.
