Therapy

Do you feel like you just can't catch a break, that life keeps throwing you curveballs? Are you struggling to cope with infertility, pregnancy loss, or other health concerns? Do you work in a high stress job that limits your ability to balance work and life? Are you unhappy in your relationship or because you do not yet have the partner you long for? The difficulties of life can weigh us down and limit our ability to live our lives to the fullest. It may feel like you are barely surviving when you want to be thriving. Although it may seem impossible, together you can develop the tools needed to navigate life's roadblocks and carve a path to happiness.

As an experienced and supportive psychologist with more than 15 years in practice, we will work together to create a tailored plan to help you begin to take back control over your mood and life. You will learn skills to help improve communication, coping, and boundary setting. With practice, these changes will become a normal way of being. Finally, you will feel more confident riding out life's rough seas and sailing toward a happier future.

I specialize in infertility, pregnancy loss, postpartum stress, chronic illness, relationship concerns, workplace stress for medical and other professionals, depression, grief, trauma, & anxiety. I also conduct forensic evaluations in civil litigation. I am licensed in IL and PSYPACT states (psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap). I am in-network with Aetna in Illinois. Insurance and Fees

In-Network Insurance Provider for clients that live in Illinois

I am an in-network provider for Aetna health insurance plans for people that live in Illinois only. I am an Out-of-Network Provider for all other insurance plans and for anyone that does not live in Illinois. Prior to our appointment, you should contact your insurance company to verify that I am covered under your benefits and what your fees will be.

Clients outside of Illinois

At this time, I am out of network for all clients that do not live in Illinois, independent of their insurance company.

Out-of-Network Insurance Provider

If I am out-of-network with your plan or you live outside of Illinois, you may still have coverage if you have out-of-network benefits. If you would like to use out-of-network benefits, I can give you a superbill (a detailed receipt) which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement of out-of-network coverage according to your pan.

Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?

  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible (or combined in and out-of-network deductible) and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • What is my responsibility (copay or co-insurance amount) per session?

  • Do I have any out-of-network benefits for mental healthcare?

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill (or “Good Faith Estimate”) for medical and mental health services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services. This includes related costs like therapy session fees.

  • Estimates will be furnished upon request when scheduling an appointment. You can ask your provider to provide this in writing at any time prior to scheduling an appointment.

  • Estimates are for your information only, and do not imply any commitment or agreement to pay for an unknown length of treatment.

  • Estimates do not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise or be requested during treatment, such as more frequent or longer appointments. You may be charged more if these special circumstances occur. Your Good Faith Estimate will be updated if there are changes in your treatment plan.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have a right to dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.
